The CHAMP-ION project was represented at Q-Expo by Jana Mwangi, providing an opportunity to share the project's latest work and connect with members of the growing European quantum technology community. The event brought together stakeholders working across different areas of quantum technology and provided a valuable setting for discussions about the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. A central topic was the need to accelerate the transition from emerging quantum technologies to practical, real-world applications. As the field develops, the ability to translate research and technological breakthroughs into scalable solutions will become increasingly important.Discussions also highlighted the importance of collaboration across the quantum value chain. Researchers, technology developers, manufacturers, industry, and public authorities each have a role to play in creating the infrastructure and capabilities required for successful technology adoption. For CHAMP-ION, participation at Q-Expo was an opportunity to contribute to these discussions while strengthening connections with the wider quantum community. The event reinforced the project's focus on developing the capabilities needed to support the scalability, integration, and industrialisation of ion-trap quantum technologies in Europe.CHAMP-ION will continue engaging with the quantum community and working with its partners to help build a strong European ecosystem capable of turning innovative quantum technologies into practical solutions.
